Artificial Rain in Lahore Reach Final Arrangements
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

Lahore saw a slight improvement in smog levels on Sunday, but the Punjab government is still planning to create artificial rain to further clean the air.

Raja Jahangir Anwar, Secretary of the Environment Protection Department, has urged people to stay indoors to avoid pollution and the risk of related illnesses. Authorities are actively working to reduce pollution by cracking down on smoke-emitting vehicles and shutting down factories and brick kilns that violate environmental regulations.

Anwar stated that strict action will be taken against anyone not following the rules, with violators facing legal penalties. He made it clear that the government will not tolerate any leniency in this matter.

These steps are part of the government’s broader efforts to improve Lahore’s air quality. While progress has been made, the city still faces serious challenges from air pollution. Creating artificial rain is seen as one more way to help clean the air and provide some relief to residents.

The government’s focus on enforcing environmental rules and introducing new measures shows its commitment to addressing this critical issue. For now, residents are advised to follow health guidelines and stay safe as efforts continue to make Lahore’s air healthier for everyone.
