Mahira was asked about her views on the role of family and friends in her career

Actress Mahira Khan has spoken out against the idea of being ‘self-made’, asserting that no one achieves success entirely on their own.

In a recent viral video, Mahira shared her thoughts on the importance of support from family, friends, and colleagues in achieving success, stating that every successful individual relies on others in some way.

At a recent event, Mahira was asked about her views on the role of family and friends in her career.

She responded by saying that the term ‘self-made’ may sound appealing but, in reality, no one truly reaches the top without the backing of others.

“I owe my success to my parents, brother, son, friends, and the people I work with. If they hadn’t supported me, I wouldn’t be here today as a star,” Mahira stated.

She also highlighted that in addition to the support from her loved ones, professional relationships and new partners in her career have also played an essential role in her journey.

For Mahira, the notion of being ‘self-made’ is more of an idealistic notion rather than an actual truth.
