The Directorate General of Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education (DGL&NFBE) Punjab has announced vacancies for part-time teachers to support its mission of eradicating illiteracy in the province. Position Overview

    • Minimum qualification: Matriculation with at least 50% marks.
    • Preference: FA/Graduate with Computer Science background.

Job Details

Selected teachers will be assigned to Adult Literacy Centres (ALCs) catering to various categories, including:

  • General Literacy
  • Health
  • Agriculture
  • Livestock
  • Prison
  • Fisheries
  • Mines & Minerals

Teachers will work on a six-month contractual basis, which is non-extendable. They will serve within their respective district, tehsil, or union council, ensuring accessibility for local communities.

Responsibilities

  1. Establishment of ALCs: Teachers must arrange a room of appropriate size to set up an Adult Literacy Centre in collaboration with a Literacy Mobilizer.
  2. Learner Registration: Each teacher will enroll a group of 25–30 learners (aged 16+) on the NFEMIS portal with the help of the mobilizer.
  3. Education Delivery: Teachers will impart foundational education to illiterate individuals, fostering growth and self-reliance.

  1. Candidates must register online at https://literacy.punjab.gov.pk.
  2. A detailed video tutorial is available on the website to assist with the registration process.
  3. Applications submitted by hand, courier, or postal service will not be entertained.
