The Punjab government has banned the use of mobile phones by teachers and students in all schools. This rule applies to both government and private institutions, and district education officers have been told to enforce it strictly.

Teachers have also been instructed to dress formally during school hours. They must wear a coat, proper shoes, and a watch. The decision comes after complaints that teachers were wasting time on their phones and that both teachers and students were recording and sharing videos on social media.

To ensure compliance, teachers are required to hand over their phones to the school administration during school hours. If anyone breaks this rule, their phone may be confiscated, and they could face disciplinary action.

The government has also issued guidelines for students, requiring them to wear navy blue sweaters, display school badges, and carry their ID cards.

These measures are aimed at improving discipline and maintaining a professional learning environment in schools. By reducing distractions and ensuring proper attire, the government hopes to create a better atmosphere for teaching and learning.
