Pakistan Railways to Operate Special Train for Benazir Bhutto’s 17th Death Anniversary

Pakistan Railways has announced a special train service for people traveling to Larkana to attend the 17th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto on December 27.

The train will leave Lahore on December 26 at 1:00 PM and is scheduled to reach Shah Nawaz Bhutto Station at 4:30 AM on December 27. For the return trip, the train will depart on the same day at 7:00 PM and arrive back in Lahore at 9:20 AM on December 28.

To ensure public safety during the event, the Sindh government has requested aerial surveillance from the federal government. Authorities are taking extra precautions to manage the large number of attendees expected.

In honor of Benazir Bhutto’s legacy, the Sindh government has declared December 27 a public holiday throughout the province. However, banks will remain open and operational on this day.

This special train service and holiday are part of the ongoing efforts to commemorate Benazir Bhutto, a leader known for her contributions to Pakistan’s political landscape.

The arrangements aim to facilitate smooth travel for her supporters and ensure a peaceful gathering in Larkana.

The event serves as a reminder of Bhutto’s enduring influence on Pakistani politics and the respect she continues to command among her supporters. With these measures in place, the authorities are preparing to honor her memory while prioritizing the safety and convenience of attendees.
