Pakistan has announced its team for the first Test against the West Indies in Multan, which is part of a historic two-match Test series. This is the first Test series to be held in Pakistan since 2006.

Shan Masood will be the captain of the team, and Mohammad Huraira will open the batting alongside him, replacing the injured Saim Ayub. The middle order will consist of Babar Azam, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, and Mohammad Rizwan, who will also take on the role of wicketkeeper.

For the bowling attack, Pakistan has chosen a spin-heavy lineup. Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, and Abrar Ahmed will lead the spin department, supported by pacer Khurram Shahzad. The pitch in Multan is expected to favor spin bowlers, so the spin trio will play an important role in the game.

This series is an important opportunity for Pakistan to showcase their strength in home conditions and prove their dominance on the field.

With the inclusion of experienced players like Babar Azam and the spin-focused attack, Pakistan is looking to start the series strongly. The team is eager to make the most of the favorable conditions and deliver a strong performance to set the tone for the rest of the series.
