A group of PIA crew members was found smuggling 78 iPhones, including the latest iPhone 16 Pro models, on a flight from Dubai to Multan. The incident came to light after customs officials, acting on a tip-off, conducted a thorough operation upon the flight’s arrival.

The individuals involved included senior steward Faisal Pervaiz, air hostesses Nishat and Sadaf, and flight stewards Imran and Khalid. During the operation, customs officials initially recovered 24 iPhones from the air hostesses’ possession. Upon further investigation, they discovered an additional 54 iPhones, which had been concealed by the male crew members.

The seized phones, valued at millions of rupees, were confiscated by the authorities. However, despite the serious nature of the offense, no formal charges were filed against the accused crew members. They were allowed to leave the premises after providing their statements to the officials.

Customs officials have launched a deeper investigation into the matter, focusing on identifying the broader network potentially involved in this smuggling operation.
