Over 3,000 Passengers Stopped from Going Abroad from Lahore Airport Using Fake Documents

Since the beginning of 2025, Lahore Airport authorities have stopped 3,171 passengers from boarding their flights due to issues with their travel documents. These included fake, suspicious, or incomplete paperwork, making them ineligible to travel.

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has increased its efforts to stop human trafficking at the airport. As part of this crackdown, officials have arrested 10 people who were found with forged documents. Additionally, 35 individuals suspected of being involved in begging activities were detained.

Authorities are keeping a close watch on passengers to prevent illegal travel and ensure that all travelers meet legal requirements. The FIA has also strengthened security checks at the airport to catch those attempting to use fraudulent means to leave the country.

This strict monitoring is part of a larger effort to control human trafficking and illegal migration. Many people attempt to travel using fake documents in hopes of reaching foreign countries, but these efforts put them at risk of arrest and deportation. The FIA is working to educate travelers about the risks and consequences of using illegal methods to go abroad.

Passengers are being urged to ensure that their travel documents are complete and verified before arriving at the airport. The authorities have also warned that anyone found using fake documents or involved in human trafficking will face strict legal action.
