The government of Pakistan has introduced a special relief package to support low-income families during Ramadan. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched the 8070 Ramadan Relief Package 2025, allocating Rs. 20 billion to assist struggling households. The initiative provides financial aid and essential food subsidies to help families manage their expenses during the holy month.

Who Can Apply?

The relief package is designed for 4 million families across Pakistan. To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be enrolled in the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) or the Ehsaas Program
  • Not be receiving assistance from any other government relief scheme
  • Possess a valid Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC)

What’s Included in the Package?

The 8070 Ramadan Relief Package offers two main benefits:

  1. Financial Assistance: Eligible families will receive Rs. 10,000 in direct cash support.
  2. Ration Discounts: Special price reductions will be available on essential food items such as flour, sugar, rice, pulses, and ghee.

How to Apply?

The registration process is simple and can be completed using the following methods:

  • Online Registration: Visit the official PSER portal and enter CNIC details along with a mobile number.
  • SMS Registration: Send your CNIC number to 8070 to check eligibility and receive further instructions.

How Will Families Receive the Funds?

To ensure easy access to financial aid, the government has introduced multiple payment options:

  • Bank Transfers: Funds will be directly transferred to accounts in HBL, UBL, and Bank Alfalah.
  • Mobile Wallets: Beneficiaries can receive money through Easypaisa and JazzCash.
  • Ehsaas Centers: Those without bank accounts can collect their aid from designated Ehsaas Program Centers.
  • Union Council Offices: Local government offices will assist with verification and fund disbursement.

During the launch event, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the relief package is part of the government’s effort to ease financial burdens on families during Ramadan. He highlighted that inflation rates have been lower this year, allowing the government to allocate more resources for assistance.

The government encourages eligible families to register early to avoid delays. For more details, individuals can visit the official 8070 web portal or send their CNIC number to 8070 for instant verification.
