The Punjab government has announced free public transport for students, senior citizens, and people with disabilities across the province. This initiative aims to make travel easier and more affordable for these groups.

During a cabinet meeting led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, officials also discussed introducing transport cards for students. These cards would help students access free transport more conveniently.

The government also approved the construction of new airports in Bhakkar and Bahawalnagar. In addition, there are plans to launch an air ambulance service, which would provide emergency medical transport to those in need.

Several other measures were discussed in the meeting, including stricter enforcement of traffic fines, judicial reforms, and improved crime control strategies. These steps are meant to enhance law enforcement and ensure public safety.

In the education and health sectors, the government approved the hiring of staff for a cardiac center, introduced a grading system for schools, and announced new recruitments in essential public service departments. These efforts aim to improve the quality of education and healthcare in Punjab.

With these initiatives, the Punjab government hopes to make daily life easier for students, senior citizens, and people with disabilities while also strengthening transport, healthcare, and public safety services across the province.
