The statement comes after reports revealed that sensitive data from several important Indian institutions had been leaked. Among the affected were the Department of Defence Production and other military-related digital platforms. The spokesperson said investigations are ongoing to find out how deep the breach goes and what kind of information may have been stolen.

Experts believe the attacks were well-planned and aimed at weakening India’s digital security systems. Pakistan-based hackers are suspected of carrying out the operation. The breach is being treated as a serious threat to national security.

Alongside military platforms, several government websites and surveillance systems were also targeted. This includes data from over 2,500 security cameras and even records from the Indian Air Force and election commissions.

India’s government says steps are being taken to improve cybersecurity and prevent future attacks. Authorities are now working closely with cyber experts to track the source of the breach and strengthen digital defences across all departments.
