On May 11, strong rain, thunderstorms, and hailstorms hit many parts of Pakistan, including Islamabad, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Malakand. The bad weather caused serious problems like urban flooding, power cuts, and interruptions to daily life.

In Battagram, streams overflowed due to the heavy rain, flooding roads and making travel difficult. In Chiniot, strong winds damaged power lines, leading to feeder outages and electricity breakdowns in different areas.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued warnings and safety instructions for the public. They have advised people to stay indoors and avoid unnecessary travel until the weather improves. Rescue and emergency teams are on alert in affected areas to respond to any situation.

In contrast to the northern and central regions, Karachi experienced very hot and dry weather. Although there was no rain in the city, the temperature felt like 40°C due to high humidity and heat.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that light rain is expected in parts of Sindh and Kashmir, but no major change in weather is predicted for Karachi in the next day or two.

The changing weather has created challenges for people across the country. Many residents are worried about damage to property, transportation problems, and health issues caused by such sudden and extreme conditions.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely. Citizens are being asked to take safety measures, stay updated with weather reports, and cooperate with local emergency services. As the rain continues in several regions, people hope for a quick return to normal life.
