Saudi Arabia Deports Most as 5,402 Pakistani Beggars Sent Back from Six Countries

The Ministry of Interior has informed the National Assembly that a total of 5,402 Pakistani beggars have been deported from different countries since the year 2024. The highest number of deportations happened during 2024, when 4,850 individuals were sent back to Pakistan. Out of these, a large majority—around 4,498—were deported specifically from Saudi Arabia. Other countries that also deported Pakistani beggars include Iraq, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Oman.

So far in 2025, 552 beggars have already been deported, with most of them once again coming from Saudi Arabia. This shows that the problem is continuing into the new year and remains a serious concern.

In addition to the deportations, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) also took action against human trafficking attempts. At Karachi airport, they stopped several women who were pretending to be Umrah pilgrims. These women did not have return tickets or proper accommodation plans, raising suspicion about their real intentions. The FIA’s timely action prevented them from leaving the country under false claims.

These events highlight the ongoing issue of human trafficking and illegal migration involving vulnerable individuals. The authorities are continuing to take steps to stop such activities and protect the image of Pakistan abroad.
