Setback for India! China Rename 27 Places in Arunachal Pradesh

China has said that it has the right to rename places in the region it calls Zangnan, which India refers to as Arunachal Pradesh. The Chinese government explained that this area has always been an important part of China based on its history, geography, and administration.

According to the Chinese Foreign Ministry, giving Chinese names to places in this region is a normal internal matter. They said it reflects China’s control over the area and is part of their national decisions. The Chinese authorities believe that renaming places helps reinforce their claim and presence in the region.

This move has been seen as controversial, especially by India, which considers Arunachal Pradesh an integral part of its country. India has strongly opposed such actions in the past, calling them meaningless and not acceptable.

However, China continues to maintain that Zangnan belongs to them and that naming places in the region is their legal right. The renaming of places is part of a broader effort by China to strengthen its territorial claims.

This ongoing disagreement between the two countries highlights the continuing border tensions and the complex relationship between China and India.
