In the federal budget for the financial year 2025-26, the government has allocated Rs. 1.754 billion for the Prime Minister’s Office.

This is an increase from last year’s amount of Rs. 1.453 billion. Out of the total budget for the PMO, Rs. 87 million will be used to cover internal office expenses, while Rs. 896.5 million is set aside for activities and functions related to the public.

This announcement was made by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb during the presentation of the federal budget, which totals Rs. 17.573 trillion. The new budget puts a strong focus on improving the country’s economy through fiscal discipline, controlling inflation, and boosting spending on development projects.

One of the key areas receiving attention in this budget is education. The government has allocated Rs. 39.5 billion for projects under the Higher Education Commission (HEC). This investment shows the government’s aim to support the education sector and help it grow in the coming years.

The overall budget plan reflects the government’s efforts to strike a balance between managing expenses and investing in the country’s progress.

By increasing the budget for public-related work under the PMO and allocating a significant amount to higher education, the government is aiming to improve services for citizens and strengthen long-term development.

With this budget, the federal government hopes to bring stability, reduce inflation, and focus on public welfare and national growth in a structured and responsible way.
