Rain Alert! Monsoon Rains Likely to Begin Again in Pakistan from July 5

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a new weather forecast, predicting increased monsoon activity beginning from July 5, 2025. According to the PMD, rain-bearing winds from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal will start entering the country, and a westerly weather system is also expected to arrive on July 6.

This weather pattern is likely to cause widespread rainfall, thunderstorms, and heavy showers in several parts of the country. Areas that can expect significant rain include Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Gilgit-Baltistan, Punjab, and the federal capital, Islamabad. These regions are expected to experience rainy weather from July 5 to July 10, though there may be some dry spells in between.

In the southern province of Sindh, including cities like Karachi, Hyderabad, and Tharparkar, the weather will be slightly different. Light to moderate rainfall, accompanied by strong winds, is expected on July 3 and 4. While the rain may not be as heavy as in the northern regions, it could still bring relief from the heat and may affect daily life.
