Pakistan Railways is all set to launch a modern business train this week on the busy Lahore to Karachi route. This new train will have 28 coaches fitted with the latest digital facilities. Passengers will also enjoy free Wi-Fi and an international-level dining car, making their journey more comfortable and enjoyable.

The main goal of this new train is to make long-distance travel better and attract more passengers by offering high-quality service and added comfort. Many travelers have long complained about old trains and poor facilities, so this step is seen as a big improvement for Pakistan Railways.

This launch is also part of a bigger plan to improve the rail system through partnerships with the private sector. Under this plan, Pakistan Railways plans to outsource 11 trains using the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

This means private companies will help manage and run some services, which is expected to make the trains cleaner, faster, and more reliable.

Train travel is still one of the most popular ways to move between Lahore and Karachi. With the new business train, Pakistan Railways hopes to win back passengers who have shifted to buses and airlines in recent years due to better services there.

Officials say the new train will help modernize the railway system and generate more income for the department. If this project is successful, more trains with similar modern features could be launched in the future, giving travelers a safer and more comfortable way to explore Pakistan by rail.
