HOROSCOPES

It’s not just the start of a new solar year but a new era as well. There will be so many changes over the next 12 months that many people won’t be able to keep up, but you will, because you intend to profit from them.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

There will be times between now and the weekend when it feels as if the whole world is falling apart but you know that’s not true. Don’t sit at home waiting for the sky to fall, get out there and make a positive contribution.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

If you try to control each and every little thing that happens in your life you are sure to fail – and why would you want to when the cosmic powers are looking over you and guiding your every step? You need to be more trusting.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

All things are possible if you want them enough but you must be sensible about how you use your time and energy. You may be a brilliant multitasker but if you want to succeed you need to focus on your most important objectives only.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

You can be a bit distrustful at times and because a recent joint project went wrong you may now be inclined to work on your own. That’s okay for the short-term but don’t make it the new normal. You need other people and they need you.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

Keep routine tasks to a minimum over the next 24 hours and focus instead on impressing people whose support you are going to need in the weeks and months to come. They want to hear about your big ideas, not your everyday activities.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may be aiming for the stars but not everyone shares your success-at-all-costs outlook, so make allowances for those who cannot keep up. Some people are happier with their feet planted firmly on the ground, and you must accept that.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

The influence of Mars in your sign does wonders for your confidence but don’t get carried away and believe you are invincible. Even if you really are an unstoppable force there is an immovable object up ahead, so slow down before it gets messy.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

There is no point getting worked up about something you know is going to happen and cannot be avoided. Instead of raging at how unfair the situation is, use your time to come up with a strategy that will soften its effects. Think more, worry less.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Are you living up to your highest ideals? Are you pursuing goals that will not only bring material success but spiritual satisfaction as well? If not, make this the day when you make a change of cosmic proportions. You are capable of so much more.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

If you are bored with a project that doesn’t seem to be going anywhere then put it on ice for a while and do something different. Later on your passion for it will rekindle and you can work on it again with a renewed spirit of adventure.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

Something that has been worrying you for ages will no longer seem so important after today, so start making plans and don’t listen to those who say you need to be cautious. Artistically and creatively you can be as adventurous as you please.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

As a water sign you can be overly sensitive at times and someone who knows that is about to target a sore spot in your psyche. Put on a brave face and pretend that you welcome their advice. If you must cry, do it in private.
