HOROSCOPES

A Neptune-Uranus link on your birthday means you must raise your awareness of what’s right and what’s wrong and focus on ambitions that benefit not just yourself but other people as well. You can be a real force for good over the coming year.

Aries (March 21 – April 20):

The only pressure you need to worry about is the pressure you put on yourself. A more relaxed approach to life today and over the weekend will work wonders both at home and at work. Life is supposed to be enjoyed, not dreaded.

Taurus (April 21 – May 21):

Forget about the little things that annoy you so much and focus on the bigger picture. If you stand back from what’s going on it won’t be long before you recognize there is a pattern to your existence – and it’s an encouraging one.

Gemini (May 22 – June 21):

You need to get past the idea that life is a zero sum game, that if you win someone else has to lose. In the greater scheme of things that’s not how it works, so stop thinking of others as rivals and work together for your mutual benefit.

Cancer (June 22 – July 23):

There is a lot of fear in the world at the moment and you must not allow yourself to get caught up in it. A positive approach to life is an absolute must, especially when dealing with people who don’t possess your sense of purpose.

Leo (July 24 – Aug. 23):

This is a time of major changes on a global scale and you are well placed to take advantage of them. As one of the zodiac’s more adventurous signs you enjoy pushing limits, your own and other people’s – so try something different today.

Virgo (Aug. 24 – Sept. 23):

You may be in the mood to take life at a more leisurely pace but some of your colleagues want you to keep moving fast and hard. Ignore them. The only reason they are being so pushy is because they think they might gain from it.

Libra (Sept. 24 – Oct. 23):

Don’t hold back on what you really think and feel. You may not want to hurt someone’s feelings but sometimes you must tell it like it is and this is one of those occasions. The consequences won’t be anywhere near as bad as you fear.

Scorpio (Oct. 24 – Nov. 22):

If you get the chance to enjoy a bit of down time today then take it and forget about your responsibilities for a while. An hour spent sitting quietly and pondering the meaning of life will serve you better than doing chores you don’t enjoy.

Sagittarius (Nov. 23 – Dec. 21):

Push your worries to one side and focus on what is good in your life. You may not be the sort to let minor irritations get to you but they have been building up of late and you need to remind yourself just how lucky you are.

Capricorn (Dec. 22 – Jan. 20):

You may be flavour of the month with most people but one particular friend or colleague does not have such a high opinion of you. Find out what has upset them and do what you can to put it right. It’s probably something very small.

Aquarius (Jan. 21 – Feb. 19):

As your ruler Uranus links with Neptune, planet of imagination today you won’t find it hard to come by good ideas, so give your imagination permission to roam as far and as wide as it can. Some of those ideas will be touched by genius.

Pisces (Feb. 20 – Mar. 20):

At some point today you will have to accept that you are never going to be friendly with someone who is as different to you as it is possible to get. Once you have done that you won’t have to waste any more time trying to like them.
