A 5.4-magnitude earthquake shook several parts of Pakistan on Tuesday, including Islamabad, Peshawar, Swat, and different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, according to the Seismic Network of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

The tremors were felt around midday, and many people across the region became alert as the ground shook. PMD confirmed that the epicenter of the earthquake was in southeastern Afghanistan, and it occurred at a depth of 22 kilometers below the surface.

Although there were no reports of damage or injuries, the earthquake was strong enough to be widely felt, causing brief concern and panic among residents. Officials have assured that the situation is being closely monitored, and people are advised to remain cautious and follow updates from official government sources for their safety.
