KARACHI – JINN TV is mourning the sudden death of its Chief Executive Officer, Mohsin Durrani, who passed away due to a heart attack just weeks after taking charge of the channel on July 23, 2025.

Durrani was a seasoned media strategist with a career spanning decades. He first rose to fame while working alongside the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain, where he played a key role in the success of Geo TV’s Ramazan transmissions, which became a benchmark in Pakistani broadcast history.

Before joining JINN TV, Durrani had contributed to several leading television networks and digital platforms, recognized for his innovative approach and strategic leadership. His sudden demise has shocked colleagues and industry peers alike, leaving a deep void in Pakistan’s media fraternity.

MediaBites reported: “Mohsin Durrani’s passing is an irreparable loss to the media industry. His creative vision and professional excellence will always be remembered.”

His funeral prayers will be offered today (Monday) at 1:15 p.m. after Zuhr at Jamia Binoria Town, Jail Road, Guru Mandir, Karachi. Friends and colleagues are requested to note.
