The Department of Health – Abu Dhabi has announced a waiver of health insurance fines for overstaying violators, provided their requests for status rectifying are approved.
The step comes in line with the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security’s decision to grant a two-month grace period starting from Sept.1, 2024, for violators of the country’s entry and residence regulations to rectify their status.
The Department urges all those who overstayed in the country to seize this opportunity to obtain approval and renew or secure a health insurance policy, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring healthcare services are accessible to all members of Abu Dhabi’s community.
