Airblue Can Now Fly Directly to Europe

Airblue has received approval from the European Commission and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to begin flights to Europe. This achievement marks a major step forward in the airline’s growth and international reach.

Currently, Airblue operates flights to international destinations like Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia, as well as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah in the UAE. With this new approval, the airline is set to expand its network, improving Pakistan’s global connectivity and offering more travel options for passengers.

This announcement comes shortly after the European Union lifted its suspension on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), which had been in place since 2020. The lifting of the suspension and Airblue’s approval highlight significant progress in Pakistan’s aviation sector.

Aviation Minister Khawaja Asif confirmed that the European Union’s decision was the result of continuous efforts by the Ministry of Aviation to enhance safety measures and comply with International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards.

Airblue’s entry into the European market represents a positive development for Pakistan’s aviation industry, offering new opportunities for growth and strengthening its position in international travel. It is also expected to benefit travelers by providing more options for direct flights to Europe.

This milestone underlines Pakistan’s commitment to meeting international aviation standards and improving its air travel infrastructure. It also reflects the country’s dedication to rebuilding trust with global aviation authorities.
