Amer Centres at Terminal 2 and 3 at Dubai airport ready to assist amnesty seekers

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Ports Security (ICP) issued a decision on August 1, 2024, granting a grace period for over-stayers to rectify their status and waiving the resulting financial fines, according to the Federal Law on Entry and Residence of Foreigners.
The decision will be reportedly implemented as of September 1, 2024, for a period of two months.
At the government service centres (Amer), a practical plan has been set  to prepare for the implementation of the decision to waive fines for violators.
Hussein Al Zaqri, Director of Public Relations and Amer Centres stated that the task force is fully prepared to receive violators wishing to rectify their status and benefit from the decision.
He explained that the staff at the airport branches in Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 have been briefed to be ready to receive customers 24 hours a day and provide them with all facilities.
Additionally, Al Aweer and the main building branch in Al Wasl, Dubai, have doubled the number of employees and supervisors and a strategic plan has been put in place to ensure speed and accuracy in completing transactions.

This decision will be implemented starting September 1, 2024, for a period of two months.
According to the decision, overstayers will be exempted from fines and legal consequences, and will be able to amend their status or leave the country safely.
