Police in Chhattisgarh have arrested another suspect in connection with the January 16 attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan.

Authorities are working to bring the individual to Mumbai for further questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

The suspect, identified as Sandesh, was detained in Durg, Chhattisgarh, by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). He was travelling by train when police received a tip-off about his whereabouts. Local authorities assisted in removing him from the train for questioning.

Around 50 individuals have been questioned so far in connection with the attack, with 35 investigation teams working to gather evidence. Over 60 hours have been dedicated to the case as authorities continue to pursue leads.

CCTV footage recently released shows a person resembling the suspect, which led to his arrest. Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan’s condition is improving.

He remains in hospital under observation following surgery and is expected to be discharged in two days. Doctors have advised him to rest for two weeks.
