The Pakistan Army has launched a relief mission in Tero village of Phander tehsil, Gilgit-Baltistan, on the orders of Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir.
The mission is aimed at helping local residents with medical care and essential supplies during this difficult time.
A field hospital has been set up in the area, staffed with a team of specialist doctors including a paediatrician, gynaecologist, medical specialist, and a general duty officer.
The facility is providing healthcare services round the clock, ensuring that patients in need of urgent treatment receive proper attention without delay.
As part of the mission, four patients in critical condition were airlifted to major medical centers for advanced treatment. Officials confirmed that they are being given the best possible care to aid their recovery.
Alongside medical services, the army is also distributing essential food items and supplies to families in the village. Relief packages include flour, rice, lentils, and clean drinking water, all of which are being provided to help residents cope with shortages in the region.
Authorities stated that the operation will continue until the community fully recovers and normal life returns to the area. The Pakistan Army has reaffirmed its commitment to stand with the people of Gilgit-Baltistan in times of crisis, promising to extend support for as long as it is needed.
