With his elimination from The World Athletics Champions, fans show support to the athlete

Arshad Nadeem knows how to accept defeat gracefully. The sportsman’s latest expedition ended when he was eliminated after the fourth round of throws of The World Athletics Championship at the Japan National Stadium in Tokyo. Arshad then took to X to express his gratitude over getting so far and thanked his fans for their support.

“Dear Pakistanis, I want to thank each and every one of you for your unwavering support and love throughout the World Athletics Championships,” he wrote. “Although I couldn’t achieve the result I had hoped for in the final, I am proud to have represented our nation on the biggest stage. Your prayers, messages, and encouragement mean the world to me. I know I let you all down, but I promise to come back stronger and work even harder to make you proud.”

Fans responded to this apology by offering words of encouragement. “Still proud of you. InshaAllah you will come back stronger.” wrote one X user. Some thanked him for all that he has already done for the country and called him a true inspiration. “Regardless of today’s result, what he has done for Pakistan is unmatched,” penned another user. “A country that could never have imagined everyone watching javelin is glued to it because of him.

Others reminded him of his importance for the nation. “Chin up champ!” wrote a user. “You are and always will be the hero of the nation. We will be back again.”

Arshad shared that he had been dealing with an injury since July 4. “It affected my preparation and fitness level,” he wrote. This did not stop him from performing at his best. “Despite this challenge, I gave it my all, and I appreciate the experience. Thank you for believing in me and supporting me on this journey. I will keep pushing myself to achieve greatness, not just for myself, but for our nation. “

In 2024, Arshad secured a gold medal in the 2024 Paris Olympics and broke the Olympic record with a javelin throw of 92.97 metres, surpassing the previous record of 90.57 metres set 16 years ago.

With his loyal fans by his side, we are sure Arshad will bounce back from this loss real soon!
