Babar Azam Nears World Test Championship Milestone in Bangladesh Test Series

Pakistan’s cricket captain, Babar Azam, is very near of a major achievement in the upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. The 29-year-old batter is just 339 runs away from joining the elite 3,000-run club in the World Test Championship (WTC).

Babar has been a consistent performer for Pakistan, having already scored 2,661 runs in WTC matches. This makes him the highest run-scorer for Pakistan in the competition. If he manages to score the required runs in the series, Babar will become only the fifth player in WTC history to reach the 3,000-run mark.

Achieving this milestone would place him among the top performers in the history of the World Test Championship, alongside renowned players like England’s Joe Root and Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith.

Babar’s consistent run-scoring has been crucial for Pakistan, and reaching this milestone would further cement his status as one of the leading batsmen in international cricket.
