The Belarusian Minister for Energy, Aleksei Kushnarenko, has made an exciting offer to Pakistan: electric buses to support the country’s efforts for sustainable transportation. This proposal was discussed during a meeting with Pakistan’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Cheema, as part of an initiative to enhance economic relations and cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Cheema expressed his gratitude for Minister Kushnarenko’s involvement in the 7th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC). He emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to following through on the decisions made during this meeting.
Additionally, Cheema pointed out the potential benefits that Belarusian agricultural technology could bring to Pakistan’s agriculture-based economy, recognizing the value of collaboration in this area. He warmly welcomed the Belarusian delegation and their support in fostering these initiatives.
During their discussions, both ministers highlighted recent Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) that were signed in the textile sector. They viewed this as a significant step forward in improving bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties.
Cheema also extended an invitation to Belarusian investors, encouraging them to explore business opportunities in Pakistan. He assured them that the country offers a safe and secure environment for investment.
