The Government of Punjab has announced a massive new scholarship initiative aimed at supporting talented students who want to pursue undergraduate education but face financial challenges. Under the Chief Minister’s Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship Program 2025 as many as 30,000 scholarships will be awarded across the province.

According to officials, the program is fully merit-based and designed to remove financial hurdles for hardworking students. The scholarships will cover 100% of tuition fees, ensuring that deserving youth can focus on their studies without worrying about expenses.

Who Can Apply?

Students who have passed their intermediate exams (FA, FSc, ICS, or equivalent) with at least 70% marks are eligible to apply. Applicants must also hold a Punjab domicile and belong to families with a monthly income of Rs. 350,000 or less (for those seeking admission in public sector universities). The program is open to students in undergraduate degrees such as BS, BA, BSc, MBBS, and other similar programs.

Application process

The application process is fully online through the Punjab Higher Education Commission (PHEC) portal. Students are required to submit applications digitally, as no hard copies will be accepted. The last date to apply is September 15, 2025. For guidance, applicants can reach out to the PHEC helpline.

Education experts believe this initiative will open doors of opportunity for thousands of talented students, helping them achieve their academic and professional goals. By investing in its youth, Punjab aims to build a stronger and more skilled future workforce.
