China Announces Fully-Funded BS MS and PhD Scholarships for Pakistani Students

The Chinese government has announced 75 fully‑funded scholarships for Pakistani students for the academic year 2026–27. This initiative aims to strengthen educational collaboration between China and Pakistan and covers undergraduate, master’s and PhD programs across multiple fields.

Scholarship Highlights

• Fully‑funded tuition fees, including education, administration, and health insurance.
• Free accommodation in university dorms or housing subsidy.
• Monthly stipend according to Chinese Scholarship Council (CSC) policy.
• Travel expenses borne by the student.
• One‑year Chinese language preparatory course for undergraduates (unless HSK Level 3 certificate is held).

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a Pakistani or AJK national (dual nationals not eligible).
• Must be in good health.
• Academic requirements:
  • Undergraduate: Intermediate/A‑level/F.A‑F.Sc (12 years of education), under 25 years old.
  • Master’s: Bachelor’s degree (16 years), under 35 years old.
  • PhD: Master’s or MPhil degree, under 40 years old.
• Professional degrees (medical, engineering, law, architecture, veterinary) must have accreditation from relevant councils.

Application Process

• Apply through HEC Portal: Complete profile, submit online, and keep a signed copy.
• Apply through CSC Portal: Program Category Type A, Agency Number 5861 (HEC/Pakistan), download and sign the application form.
• Required tests:
  • Undergraduate: USAT (minimum score 50/100).
  • Master’s/PhD: HAT (minimum score 50/100).
• Submit required documents: educational certificates, CNIC, passport, language proficiency, study plan/research proposal, police clearance, recommendation letters, and other HEC‑specified documents.

Important Dates

• Deadline: January 5, 2026, 4:00 PM PST.
• Applications must be submitted on both HEC and CSC portals to be considered.
