The Government of Punjab has extended the deadline for applications under the CM Punjab Laptop Program 2026, offering eligible students additional time to benefit from the initiative aimed at promoting digital access in higher education.
According to details shared by Career Next Pakistan, the Higher Education Department of the Government of the Punjab confirmed that students now have until February 28, 2026, to submit their applications. The program is designed to empower youth by bridging the digital divide and providing free laptops to deserving students across the province.
Under the revised eligibility criteria, applicants must be enrolled in public sector universities or selected private institutions. Students are required to have secured a minimum of 65 percent marks and must hold a Punjab domicile. The initiative specifically targets academically performing students who may lack access to adequate technological resources for their studies.
Officials state that the extension aims to ensure maximum participation and provide equal opportunity to eligible candidates who may not have been able to apply earlier. The laptop scheme is part of the provincial government’s broader efforts to strengthen digital literacy, enhance academic performance, and prepare students for modern workforce demands.
Students meeting the criteria are encouraged to complete their applications before the new closing date to avoid missing out on the opportunity. The program continues to receive strong interest from students across Punjab seeking support for their academic and professional growth.
