Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir, currently in Saudi Arabia, met with Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, according to the ISPR. The Crown Prince welcomed General Munir at the Royal Palace, where they discussed regional peace, defense ties, and ways to strengthen the partnership between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, General Munir thanked Saudi Arabia for its continuous support for Pakistan and acknowledged the Crown Prince’s efforts toward regional stability. Both leaders highlighted the importance of cooperation in defense and security matters, aiming to work closely for mutual benefit.
Additionally, General Munir met with Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman. Both officials committed to reinforcing their defense partnership, emphasizing the need for close collaboration to address shared security challenges.
General Munir’s visit also included meetings with senior Saudi military officials. These meetings were held with Engineer Talal Abdullah Al-Otaibi, Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Bin Hamed Bin Raqeeb Al Ruwaili, and Lieutenant General Fahad bin Saud Al-Johani. They discussed various areas of mutual interest, including military cooperation and efforts to promote peace and stability in the region.
This visit underlines the close ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and demonstrates both countries’ commitment to working together on defense and security issues for long-term regional stability and cooperation.
