Dubai Police has achieved a historic milestone by promoting Colonel Samira Abdullah Al Ali to the rank of Brigadier, making her the first woman in the force’s 69-year history to hold this position.

With an impressive career spanning over 31 years, Brigadier Al Ali currently leads the Insurance Department, a division she developed into a benchmark for excellence in the region.

She also holds the distinction of being the first woman to head an all-male team in the General Department of Transport and Rescue — a role that broke barriers and set new standards for gender inclusion in leadership.

Throughout her service, Brigadier Al Ali has been recognized for introducing innovative insurance policies, winning multiple awards, and mentoring thousands of professionals in the force.

Her leadership has extended beyond the police department, contributing actively to national committees and policy development.

Her promotion is not just a personal achievement but a reflection of Dubai Police’s commitment to empowering women and creating opportunities for them to excel in leadership roles.

Brigadier Al Ali’s journey stands as an inspiration for women across the UAE and the wider region, proving that dedication, innovation, and resilience can pave the way to historic accomplishments.
