Portuguese football legend Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the highest-earning athlete of 2024 by the digital sports platform Sportico. He secured the top position on the list of the 100 highest-paid athletes, earning an incredible $260 million this year.

A major part of Ronaldo’s income comes from his professional football career, where he plays for the Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr and represents Portugal at the international level. In addition to his salary and winnings, he also earned $45 million from various brand endorsements, making him the most financially successful athlete of the year.

Behind Ronaldo, other top athletes who made it to the list include NBA star Stephen Curry, who earned $153.8 million, heavyweight boxing champion Tyson Fury with $147 million, and legendary footballer Lionel Messi, who made $135 million.

These athletes have not only showcased exceptional talent in their respective sports but have also built strong financial empires through sponsorships, endorsements, and smart business decisions. Their success highlights the growing influence of sports in the business world, where top players continue to break records both on and off the field.
