ISLAMABAD: Dr Najeeb A Memon, Director General Tax Policy Office, Ministry of Finance has given a deadline of January 30, 2026 to the business community for submission of tax proposals for the Finance Bill, 2026-27.

Tax Policy Office will give top priority to those tax proposals backed by data analysis.

According to the letter of the Director General Tax Policy Office to the business and trade, the tax proposal should give qualitative reasoning and quantitative analysis regarding impact on revenue and other economic indicators.

The tax policy proposal should also specify the economic impact (if any) with reference to fiscal incidence etc.

The proposal should also specify the sectors and business activities to be influenced by the proposal.
