Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), in cooperation with Samsung Gulf Electronics, announces the integration of driving licenses and vehicle registrations to Samsung Wallet.
This partnership aligns with RTA’s dedication to utilising technology to ensure an efficient transportation system, enhance driver experience, and achieve Dubai’s vision of becoming the world’s premier smart city.
Samsung users can now add their vehicle registration and driving license information directly to their Samsung Wallet through the RTA app.
This integration eliminates the need for multiple apps and provides a centralized platform for managing important transportation-related documents.
Meera Al Shaikh, Director of Smart Services at RTA, said: “The Roads and Transport Authority is committed to innovation and development and aims to introduce initiatives that provide convenient transportation solutions for the public. This partnership emphasizes our ongoing efforts to utilize smart technologies and integrate essential services. Through smartphones, we will revolutionise urban mobility and progress towards a digital future, aligning with Dubai’s vision of becoming the smartest city in the world.”
Meera stressed on maintaining the highest standards of security and privacy underscores the commitment of both RTA and Samsung to safeguarding user trust. This integration transforms the management of transportation-related documents and sets a new standard for excellence in service delivery and technological advancement within the emirate.
Fadi Abu Shamat, Head of the Mobile Experience Division at Samsung Gulf Electronics, remarked, “Our collaboration with RTA continues to push boundaries in delivering cutting-edge technologies that enhance the lives of our users. By integrating vehicle and driving license information into Samsung Wallet, we offer unparalleled convenience and efficiency for our valued customers.
“This integration comes with the assurance of our robust military-grade Knox security suite, underscoring our unwavering commitment to prioritizing security and safeguarding consumer data privacy. It also showcases the responsibility of both entities to drive innovation and provide seamless experiences for users,” said Abu Shamat.
