Dubai Launches 40 Air Conditioned Rest Areas for Delivery Riders
Share on FacebookShare on TwitterWhatsapp

Dubai has built 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders, providing them with a comfortable place to take breaks from the extreme heat. These facilities have been developed by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) in partnership with various delivery companies to ensure better working conditions for riders.

Each rest area is equipped with essential amenities such as snack dispensers, water coolers, and mobile charging stations. The spaces can accommodate up to 10 riders at a time, allowing them to rest and refresh before continuing their work.

These rest spots are strategically located in high-demand areas like Hessa Street, Barsha Heights, and Business Bay, where a large number of delivery riders operate daily. By placing these facilities in key locations, Dubai aims to provide maximum convenience to riders who work in challenging weather conditions.

This initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to worker welfare and improving the overall working environment for delivery personnel. Many riders face harsh temperatures during their shifts, and these rest areas offer them much-needed relief.

The introduction of these cooling stations is expected to enhance productivity and job satisfaction among delivery workers, ensuring they can continue their work comfortably and efficiently. With this project, Dubai sets an example of how cities can take steps to support essential workers who keep daily services running smoothly.

By focusing on the well-being of delivery riders, Dubai continues to prioritize the health and safety of its workforce while improving overall service efficiency in the city.
