The General Command of Dubai Police reiterates that the drones observed across various areas in the emirate are part of its advanced “Drone Box” system that aims to bolster security by quickly reaching accident sites and supplying the command centre with crucial information to expedite response times.
Brigadier Turki Bin Faris, Director of the General Department of Operations at Dubai Police, remarked, “Dubai Police remains at the forefront of innovation with our smart and advanced drone system, supporting police and security operations. This strategic project employs the latest security technologies to proactively ensure community safety and combat crime.”
Smart Platforms
Brigadier Turki further explained, “The ‘Drone Box’ system is equipped with numerous smart platforms across the emirate. These drones are deployed from the platforms upon receiving reports, significantly reducing response times for severe accidents and emergencies.”

Operations
Brigadier Turki noted that the system supports a variety of security and police operations, including participation in field operations for security and traffic patrols, conducting rescue missions, managing crises and disasters, proactively detecting risks, monitoring traffic flow, and providing the command centre with essential data and information.
He confirmed that the drones seen by the public in different areas of the emirate are part of ongoing police operations designed to enhance security. These drones assist police officers in serving the community according to best practices and standards, ensuring privacy while maintaining Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s safest cities.
