Dubai puts out fire in fuel tanker in Al Satwa area

Dubai Civil Defence brought under control a fire that erupted in a fuel tanker in Al Satwa area. No fatalities were reported as a result of the fire.
According to a civil defence source, the operations room received a report at 5:26pm on Friday stating that a fire broke out in a truck near Lulu Residence in Al Satwa area, adding that Al Etihad Civil Defence Station was notified accordingly.
The source added that the civil defense personnel arrived at the fire site, where it was found that the fire erupted in a fuel tanker and that no people were trapped. The civil defence personnel dealt with the fire and within 25 minutes, it was brought under control and the site was being cooled.
The site was handed over to the competent authorities as per the observed procedures so as to investigate what caused the fire.
