The upcoming Eid‑ul‑Fitr in Pakistan is expected to fall between March 21 and March 23, 2026, according to early moon-sighting predictions and astronomical estimates.

This year, the festival may closely coincide with Pakistan Day, creating a longer holiday period across the country.

Eid-ul-Fitr is celebrated at the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The exact date depends on the sighting of the Shawwal moon. Religious authorities and the Central Ruet‑e‑Hilal Committee officially confirm the date each year after moon sighting reports from different parts of the country.

If the expected dates remain accurate, many Pakistanis may enjoy an extended holiday period. Since Pakistan Day is celebrated on March 23 every year, the overlap could allow families to celebrate both a national and religious occasion during the same time.

Pakistan Day commemorates the historic Lahore Resolution, which laid the foundation for the creation of Pakistan in 1947. The day is usually celebrated with national ceremonies, parades, and public events.

Markets, shopping centers, and travel services are also expected to see increased activity as people prepare for celebrations and family gatherings.
