England is set to host the 2025 Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi World Cup in the West Midlands, making it the first time the tournament will be held outside Asia.

The competition will begin on March 17 and continue for a week. A total of sixteen teams will participate, including strong contenders like Pakistan, India, and England. Both men’s and women’s teams will compete in the event.

Matches will be played across four cities: Birmingham, Walsall, Coventry, and Wolverhampton. Fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of over 60 matches throughout the tournament. The finals will take place on March 23, where the best teams will battle for the championship.

The UK government has backed the tournament by providing £500,000 from the Commonwealth Games Legacy Enhancement Fund. This financial support will help ensure the successful organization of the event.

Hosting the Kabaddi World Cup in England is a major step in expanding the sport beyond its traditional strongholds in Asia. The tournament is expected to attract a global audience and boost the popularity of kabaddi in the UK and other regions.

With intense competition, international participation, and strong government support, the 2025 Kabaddi World Cup promises to be a thrilling and historic tournament.
