A team from the European Civil Aviation authorities is set to visit Pakistan next week to offer special security training for airport regulators. This will be the first time such a program is being conducted in the country.

The training will take place at Islamabad International Airport and is part of an initiative led by the European Union. The focus will be on strengthening aviation security according to international standards. The training will cover key areas like Explosives Trace Detection (ETD) and the use of Explosive Detection Dogs (EDD). These tools are crucial for detecting dangerous materials and ensuring the safety of air travel.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has confirmed the visit and sees it as a major step toward improving Pakistan’s airport security systems. The goal is to make sure all security procedures match the latest global safety rules and expectations.

This development comes at an important time for Pakistan’s aviation industry. Recently, the European Union lifted a flight ban on PIA, allowing it to resume flights to European countries.

Additionally, another Pakistani airline, Airblue, has received permission to operate flights to Europe. These positive changes reflect growing confidence in Pakistan’s aviation standards.

The upcoming training is expected to help Pakistan maintain and further improve its international reputation in aviation safety. It also shows the country’s commitment to learning and applying the best practices used in the aviation industry around the world.
