Fans Shocked! Babar Azam Overtakes Afridi on Pakistan’s ‘Most Ducks’ List in T20Is

Pakistan’s star batter Babar Azam faced an unwanted moment in his T20I career after getting out for a duck during the opening match of the tri-series against Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi. His dismissal put him ahead of Shahid Afridi’s earlier record, making this his ninth duck in T20 internationals.

Babar, known for his calm batting style and consistency, was removed for a three-ball duck by Zimbabwe’s fast bowler Brad Evans. The delivery caught him off guard, and he walked back without scoring, surprising fans who expected a strong start from him.

Even though Babar has set many impressive records in T20 cricket including becoming Pakistan’s highest run-scorer in the format this new statistic adds an unexpected chapter to his career. With nine ducks, he now joins the list of Pakistani players with the most zero-run dismissals in T20Is, a record no top batter wishes to hold.

Cricket experts noted that such ups and downs are part of the game, especially in T20 cricket where one mistake can cost a wicket quickly. They also reminded fans that Babar’s overall achievements still place him among the best batters in the world.

Supporters remain confident that he will bounce back in the upcoming matches, as he has done many times before. The tri-series is still in the early stages, and there is plenty of opportunity for him to regain his rhythm and contribute strong performances for Pakistan.

For now, the focus has shifted to how Babar responds in the next game, as he looks to move past this rare low point and get back to scoring runs something he has consistently delivered throughout his career.
