Religious scholars in Lahore have declared one-wheeling, kite flying, and aerial firing as un-Islamic, stating that these activities pose serious risks to human life.

The fatwa explains that Islam values the protection of life above all and forbids actions that could harm or endanger it. These activities are considered forms of self-harm due to their dangerous nature.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran shared that sharp kite strings and stray bullets from aerial firing have caused many deaths. To address these issues, authorities have taken strict action over the past 20 days. They have arrested 151 people for one-wheeling, filed 150 cases related to kite flying, and jailed 118 individuals involved in aerial firing.

The police, working with religious leaders, are focusing on raising awareness about the dangers of these activities. They are also enforcing stricter laws to prevent such life-threatening practices. Parents are being urged to discourage their children from participating in these dangerous behaviors to ensure everyone’s safety.

This collaborative effort highlights the importance of protecting lives and creating a safer environment for the public.
