Delivery Hero, a company based in Germany, has announced that its food delivery service foodpanda will stop working in Thailand starting May 23, 2025. This decision is part of the company’s plan to review and improve its worldwide business strategy.

According to Delivery Hero, the company wants to put more energy and resources into Asia-Pacific countries that have stronger growth and better chances for profit. As a result, they have decided to leave the Thai market, which is not bringing in the results they were hoping for.

Until foodpanda officially stops in Thailand, the local team will keep working as usual. They will continue to manage daily operations and support customers and riders during this time of transition.

This step is part of a bigger trend by Delivery Hero to leave markets that are not performing well. The company has already pulled out of several regions in recent years, choosing instead to focus on countries where business is going better. By doing this, Delivery Hero hopes to make its operations more efficient and profitable in the long run.

The closure of foodpanda in Thailand may affect many people, including workers, riders, and customers. However, the company says it is working to make the exit as smooth as possible and to support its teams through the change.
