Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed the strength of Pakistan’s longstanding ties with China, describing the friendship between the two nations as “deeper than the ocean and stronger than steel.” His remarks come as both countries continue to enhance their cooperation in trade, infrastructure, technology, and regional development.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister highlighted that Pakistan and China share a relationship built on trust, mutual respect, and decades of strategic partnership. He noted that this bond has remained resilient through regional challenges, political changes, and shifting global dynamics. According to him, the partnership is not only about governments but also about the deep connection between the people of both nations.

The Prime Minister further stressed the significance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has become a cornerstone of this partnership. He said the multi-billion-dollar project is opening new doors for economic growth, energy development, and regional connectivity. He added that the cooperation goes far beyond infrastructure, extending into areas such as education, cultural exchange, and technological innovation.

Observers believe that Sharif’s statement underscores Pakistan’s continued reliance on Beijing as a trusted partner in its development journey. Both countries are expected to expand collaboration in upcoming years, particularly in renewable energy, digital economy, and industrial zones under CPEC’s second phase.

The Prime Minister concluded by stating that Pakistan remains fully committed to strengthening its all-weather friendship with China, ensuring that the relationship continues to grow for the prosperity and stability of the entire region.
