A suspected explosion in Akhtarabad has caused significant damage to a major gas pipeline, leading to widespread disruption of gas services across Balochistan. According to the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC), gas supply has been suspended in numerous areas of Quetta and its surrounding regions, leaving many households and businesses temporarily without access to fuel for heating, cooking, and industrial operations.

Authorities and emergency response teams are actively working to assess the damage, secure the affected site, and carry out repairs to restore normal gas supply as quickly as possible. Residents have been advised to exercise caution and follow any safety guidelines issued by local authorities during this period.

The incident highlights ongoing challenges in maintaining critical energy infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted service for the province’s residents and industries. Updates on restoration efforts are expected to be shared as the situation develops.
