Gen Z Showed Up for Karachi Sea View

Sea View Karachi witnessed something powerful. What is often seen as a polluted shoreline turned into a place of hope and action as Hammad Foundation organized one of Pakistan’s largest beach cleanup drives. More than 3,000 volunteers came together with one purpose, to protect our coastline.

Gen Z, millennials, families, and children all showed up side by side. Many chose to spend their holiday serving the city, proving that change begins when people decide to act. Gloves on and bags in hand, volunteers worked with energy, teamwork, and smiles.

Sea View was once one of Karachi’s most beautiful spaces. Over time, plastic and waste took over. But on this day, the beach told a different story. Step by step, the sand became cleaner, and the message became louder.

Hammad Foundation ensured that every volunteer could take part safely by providing masks, gloves, and garbage bags. The atmosphere was inspiring. Families taught their children responsibility, young people led from the front, and everyone played their part.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chairman of Hammad Foundation shared a message for the youth,
“They may be the greatest, but we are the latest. Gen Z is not waiting for change, they are creating it.”

This drive was not just about cleaning a beach. It was about building ownership, pride, and responsibility for our city. It marked the beginning of a larger movement towards a cleaner Karachi and a better future.
