In a landmark development for Pakistan’s digital future, Amazon’s Project Kuiper has announced plans to launch satellite broadband services in Pakistan by late 2026, significantly boosting the nation’s IT and telecom infrastructure.

The decision follows a meeting between Federal IT Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja and Amazon’s Project Kuiper delegation, where both parties discussed strategies to enhance nationwide connectivity and promote digital inclusion.

Through this initiative, Amazon aims to deliver fast, affordable internet access across Pakistan, particularly in remote and underserved regions that currently face connectivity challenges.

To ensure reliable service, Amazon will establish ground infrastructure, gateways, and Points of Presence (PoPs) within the country. These facilities will support high-speed data transmission and strengthen Pakistan’s overall digital network.

The move aligns with Pakistan’s Digital Nation Vision, promoting innovation, e-commerce, and tech-driven economic growth.

Once operational, the project could revolutionize online education, business, and communication, bridging the urban-rural digital divide and empowering millions of users nationwide.
